Obligatory projects

Two projects must be submitted by each student. (There will no other mandatory exercises.)

Both projects are to be submitted as a folder in an individually assigned GitHub repository. To get access to the individually assigned GitHub repository, each student is requested to send a short email to the teaching assistant (Kei Yamamoto), letting him know your GitHub username. Note: Don't send your GitHub password! In case you don't have a GitHub account, please create one first. (Some info about why and how to use Git can be found here.)

    • The first obligatory project is about using FDM for solving a 2D wave equation. The submission deadline is Sunday, October 10, at 23:59. Each student should submit all the files of the project inside a folder named "wave_project" in a GitHub repository individually assigned to her/him.
    • The second obligatory project is about solving the Poisson equation using finite elements. The submission deadline is Wednesday November 10, at 23:59. Each student should submit all the files of the project inside a folder named "fem_project" in a GitHub repository individually assigned to her/him.
