Preliminary course information
Teaching will take place in three weeks during the semester:
24–28 August
5-9 October
16-20 November
The lecture hours will be from 14:15 to around 18:00 in the lecture room indicated in the online schedule. Note that the lecture room changes from day to day (between Smalltalk and Caml) – it is unfortunately, impossible to reserve the same room for the whole week, due to conflicts with other courses. The rooms have capacity for all students to be attending physically. We will to a large extent provide video recordings of what is being presented. However, collaboration within groups are important in the course and physical presence make that easier and should be preferred by those being able to attend. At the same time, it is important to follow the UiO's infection prevention guidelines.
On coming Monday, students will be introduced to a number of different projects, and choose one which will be their focus for the rest of the semester (undertaken in groups). Thus, the sessions in the coming week, starting Monday 24 August will be important for discussing with potential project supervisors and other students to decide on group composition and project selection. A sandwich and bottled beverage are being served on Monday (not the following days).
