Grading is done and should become available to you tomorrow. Thank you for following the course!
During the exam, you can use the handed out Scantron papers to write/draw your answer on a physical paper for questions where that is enabled (which is just for selected subtasks). It is possible to use several sheets per question. See instructions on how to fill in the papers here and note that you will not be given extra time to fill in the information boxes on these papers (assignment codes, candidate number, etc.): /for-ansatte/arbeidsstotte/sta/eksamen/digital-eksamen/veiledninger/sensur/scantron/bilder/2019-03-12-scantron-informasjonsskriv.pdf
Of course, cheating is not allowed during the exam. Please read about what is considered cheating on UiO's website: /english/studies/examinations/cheating/index.html
If you want to play with the online calculator that will be available on your computer during the exam, then you can test it out here: https://www.desmos.com/scientific
You will have access to an online calculator during the exam. There is no need to bring your own.
The exam this year will be a written exam in Silurveien. You will there have access to a computer and should submit your answers digitally through uio.inspera.no. If needed, you may draw on a scantron paper which you can get during the exam. A digital version of this paper will then be integrated with your answers in Inspera.
Hi all,
We won't have a lecture next week.
Watch the recordings and let me know if you have any questions. We will go through a resumed version during the repetition classes later on.
I will be available in my office on Monday 17/10 from 13 to 15 hours in case you want to discuss or have questions about SVMs.
In slide 1 and 8 in the new slides and in slide 1 and 13 in the previous slides, there is a line stated to be y=-x+0. However, the intercept of the depicted line is 2 and it is y=-x+2 that would pass through (1,1). Hope this did not cause any confusion.
There will be no lecture on the 15/09.
Instead, watch the recorded lectures from the previous semester.
I will be answering questions about the lecture material on Monday 12/09 from 13 to 14.
You can also post your questions on Discourse.
We will funnel all questions and answers through our course's discourse: in5520-discourse.uio.no
You need to login once to get your account and user activated.
This is the last time that this course will be taught.
The first lecture will be held on Thursday the 25th of August, 14:15-16:00. The group sessions will start the following week, so the first group session will be on Thursday the 1st of September, 10:15-12:00. We plan for both lectures and group sessions to be physical.
Notice that the lecture will sometimes be in the large lecture hall in Kristen Nygaards house and sometimes in the seminar room Python in Ole-Johan Dahls house. Please check the time schedule for where the lecture will be on a particular day.
