Devilry & obligs: this semester and this course is close to it's end. We (the lecturers) need to report the information about the obligs to the studie-administrasjon, so that people who did the obligs can participate. That's done via devilry. Tools like that are a help in organizing, but not without glitches. During the semester, some strange cases of registrations, software "bugs" etc happened (and of course, going through the many entries in the data bases, also myself may make the occasional oversight). So in general, the information in devilry is reliable, but nonetheless: take the time and check, if you have not done that already after each oblig, that your status is ok. Note that, when reporting to the central, I have NO information about how you did in the oblig except what I see in the devilry, if for some reason something is wrong there (typo, buggy software, anything), now is the time to check and report it.
thanks, Martin
Next week there will be group problem sessions but no lab. That will be the last group meetings. There will be no lecture next week. We wish you success on the exam!
The next lecture date at the end of this week's lecture was an error. There WILL BE a lecture Monday, October 22nd.
Informal info: As mentioned earlier, there is a forthcoming (international) programming contest, where UiO is a participating site, and which you may find interesting to participate in. Developing clever algorithms and solutions are always on topic there. The first round is Saturday, there's an info-meeting today, 17:00 @ Chill, where you can get further information and can still register, going there.

Unoffical announcement, which may be of interest to you as participant of this course.
6.Oktober will be a ``Nordic Programming Contest'' ``NM i Programmering''.
It's a yearly event, actually part of an international event, where one participating site in Norway is the UiO, i.e., the Oslo part will take part here at Blindern,
Here is a link
The Oslo-part is also a Facebook-event
Winner teams may qualify for the next round (in the Netherlands, I think).
The tasks are "algorithmic", so very much related to what we are doing here.
As you are probably used to: the way to hand in mandatory assignments (``Obligs'') is via the devilry-system.
The link for upload is here .

I added some hints for solutions for exercise 1; see the detailed teaching plan (where it's linked in). Martin
Oblig (midterm) 1 is due Thursday, September 20th.
We will be using "Detaljert Undervisningsplan" to post midterms (obligger) and homework (ukeoppgaver), as well as lecture notes and book chapters covered. The idea is to have a single place to look at (in addition to this message board).
Welcome to INF2220. Please keep an eye on this message board, we will be using it to make important announcements.
