INF5063 Asymmetric Multicore Challenge rules are now available on the web-page. Participation is optional, but highly recommended.

The lab machines are now up and running with Dolphin hardware and software. Report problems and direct questions to inf5063@ifi.uio.no.
 

We're staring to install the new hardware on the lab machines today which means that they can suddenly shut down and become unavailable without any notice.

We have reverted a "fix" for a bug in the C63 precode. The fix allowed searching outside of frame boundaries and raises a segfault when encoding tractor on the lab-machines. The change is in me_block_8x8(), me.c:38 and me.c:39.

Home Exam 1 is now available on the course pages. 

Once you find a partner to work with, send an e-mail with both your names and UiO username to inf5063@ifi.uio.no. Test computers will be available on Monday and Tuesday next week, watch the x86-FAQ for updates!

INF5063 in Fall 2014 will be taught as a block seminar. There will be 4 full days, 09:00-16:00.

The dates are 22. August, 19. September, 17. October and 21. November.

The block seminar will be held at Simula Research Laboratory, at Fornebu.
