For the next lectures we will partly make use of the slides that accompany the book Koehn, SMT.  They may be downloaded from here. You are advised to downoald and unpack the archive.

I have started a document which shows which parts of the books make up the syllabus.

The tokenizer should be run from the repsoitory where it is located.  If you want to download and run it from your own location, you have to download library files as well.  Corrected the assignment text to avoid confusion.

Welcome to the INF5820 course!  The course will be divided in two parts. The first part will focus on machine translation and will be taught by Jan Tore L?nning, while the second part will focus on spoken dialogue systems and will be taught by Pierre Lison. You can find here a general description of this year's course content.

The first lecture will take place on Friday, August 22, 12:15 -14:00, in the Perl seminar room (Ole-Johan Dahls hus, room 2453).
