Welcome to TEK4500 Introduction to Cryptography Fall 2024!

This is the announcement  page for the course where I provide all messages during the semester. Please check it regularly. There is also a Canvas page for the course, but we will only use it to publish solutions to home work problems, as well as discussions for the course.

A proposed solution to this year's exam is now posted on Canvas. Please do not distribute further.

The final lecture of the course will be tomorrow (December 4). This will be both a recap lecture, summarizing the main topics we've been through, and a ask-me-anything session. I also intend to work through a few of the old exams.

For the remaining two recitation hours, I'll be going through some of the old exams. If there are specific exams or questions you would like me to go through, please let me know. It is also highly recommended to have a go at the questions on your own, ideally before me going through them.

There will be no lecture this week, since I'm away on travel.

The next lecture will be on November 27.

Unfortunately, the microphones in the lecture room did not work today, so there's no recording of today's lecture. As a replacement, I've uploaded the same lecture from last year. Except for some of the material on certificate revocation, the 2023 lecture covers more or less the same as today's lecture.

Just a reminder that the midterm exam is due next week, on Thursday, October 24. Both the midterm and the submission is on Canvas.

I have created a LaTex template you can use when writing your solutions to the weekly problem sets. You find the template on Canvas under "Assignments". While it is voluntary to use the template, it is recommended.
