Welcome to KJM 9250

Welcome to KJM 5250/9250.  The first lecture is held on January 26. 12.15 to 14.00 in the room "Avogadro".  Please show up since you will be divided in groups of two and two persons for the combined colloquium/lab course which will run the whole semester. Up to 15 times.

The colloquium/lab course will take place in the rooms ? 332/4, 338 and 340 on Thursdays between 0900 and 1700. Sometimes the nmr instruments runs until 0900 on Friday and one of you have to be there at 08.55 to remove your nmr sample and log out of the computer so the nmr instrument can be used for science.  We will use 4 nmr isntruments out of our 8 instruments for the course.

If more than 8 (currently you are 7) attends the course the Department must pay for an extra person to so the colloquium/lab course can be on two days.

If any of you have not used our nmr instruments before and not have had the Health and Safety instruction you MUST show up outside the nmr lab ? 338 on Thursday February 28. just before 0900 AM. We start exactly 0900 for HMS instruction so if there is a chance that the T-bane is delayed or similary please travel an hour or two earlier than planned.

We start KJM 5250/9250 with the assumtion that you know the content of KJM-MENA 4010 module 1. That is you know how to acquire and process 1D 1H and 1D 13C nmr experiments, you know how to use the ICONNMR progarm (will not be used in 5250/9250) and you know how to proces some 2D nmr Experiments in the nmr program Topspin. If you do not know this it is strongly advised that you tag along with the teaching in module 1 starting on January 28th. This goes on for 14 days. But you dont need to be there all the time :-)
