Clarification on the relationship with functional analysis.

Contrary to the impression I might have given, the course will be taught in such a way that it is not necessary to follow or have followed MAT3400/4400. Necessary material on Banach and Hilbert spaces will be reviewed during the course, starting next week. A background equivalent to MAT2400 is sufficient.
