On the last lecture I was asked about whether chapter 5 and 6 in "an introduction to convexity" should be part of the exam curriculum, since these two chapters were not lectured. Geir, Mike and I have agreed that these two chapters will NOT be part of the exam curriculum.

On Wednesday I will continue with chapter 2 and 3 in "notes on combinatorial optimisation". I have also updated details in the proof of theorem 1.2 on page 48-50 here. As I mentioned last week, the details here are more for the interested reader.
Also, don't forget the deadline for the compulsory exercise, which is on thursday.

On Wednesday I will go through chapter 1 in "Notes on combinatorial optimisation". I will spend much of the time on the proof of Theorem 1.2, This requires some work to understand, so going through this proof is good preparation for the lecture. There are some important details which have been left out in this proof. You can take a look at page 48 and 49 here, where I have attempted to fill in some of these details.
