There was an error in the last part of the suggested solution to Problem 33 – a corrected version has been uploaded.
Good luck tomorrow!
I have uploaded new versions of the problem set and the suggested solutions. In the problem set there is a small change in notations in Problem 9. In the solution set there are changes in Problems 9, 12, and 22. Thanks to those who asked appropriate questions!
The curriculum for MAT4200 is: Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (pp. 94–95), 10 (p. 106), 11 (pp. 116–123, but not Prop. 11.4, Cor. 11.19, Prop. 11.20, Cor. 11.21).
Suggested solutions to the 40 problems are here. Before you look at the solutions, try to do the problems! If you have questions, come see me in my office or write me an e-mail. Good luck! and welcome to MAT4210 on January 19!

I have been asked to go through the solutions to problems 5, 24, 28, and 30, and will do that on Wednesday. So you should try to do these problems before then! Some typos in the problem set have been corrected, and problem 40 has been added.
Here is a set of problems. Some of them are old exam problems and old mandatory assignment problems. It will be useful for you to do them as you prepare for the exam.

Here are suggested solutions to the mandatory assignment.
You find the mandatory assignment here. The due date is Thursday November 5 at 14:30.
The student representatives for this course are
Lene-Lise Daniloff <lenelise@gmail.com>

If you want to hand in your solutions to the exercises, you may do so – either put them in my mail box in the mail room on the 7th floor of the N. H. Abel building, or give them to me in class.
