Structure of the course

The first five weeks of this course overlap with MAT4210 - Algebraic Geometry I and will follow the lectures of that course, giving an introduction to algebraic varieties. Starting 15 Feb, this course will have separate lectures which go into material on elliptic curves specifically, following Silverman's book "The Arithmetic of Elliptic Curves".

The schedule on the webpage at the moment includes the lectures in MAT4210 also after 15 Feb, but this is not correct and will be fixed.
