The syllabus consists of the lecture notes "Vector bundles and connections" as well as the following parts of do Carmo's book:
Chapters 1 - 3,
Chapter 4 until Definition 5.7,
Chapter 5 until Remark 2.6, except Example 2.3,
Chapter 6 until Proposition 2.9, and Proposition 3.1 (a),
Chapter 7.
The final exam will be held on Friday the 8th December.

Here is the assignment, to be returned through Devilry by the 18th October at 14:00. If you submit scanned handwritten solutions I would appreciate receiving the original as well, for instance in the lecture on the 18th.
We will do #4 on page 46 and #8 on page 58.
In this new version of the notes I have added the definition of subbundle and the material on orthogonal connections covered in the last lecture.
The problems will be discussed on Wednesday the 27th September.
The assignment will be posted no later than the 4th October and must be returned by the 18th October 2017.
These notes contain the material covered in the lectures until we started on do Carmo's book.
Here is the problem sheet. We will discuss the first two problems this Wednesday and the rest next Wednesday.
