October 25-26

This week, I finalized the solution of the Problem 3 of Exam 2020 (c,d), then started the Lecture with the proof of Helly's Theorem and completed by stating Lemma 6.34. I solved the Exercises 6.2 and 6.3. For the course notes click on  October 25 (see in the From the Lectures folder). On Tuesday, we have lived problems about projector and lost some time;  so I had to use the blackboard. Then, you can follow the previous year's course notes just for Section 6.3, see October 26 (1) and October 26 (2).

Next week, I will complete the Section 6.4 and cover Section 7.1 and 7.4. Tentative plan is to reach to the Chapter 8. Planned exercises are 6.21, 6.22 and if some time remains, the problems of the previous week can be done.
