About the exam
Here is some important and (hopefully) helpful information about the exam:
Curriculum: The official curriculum for the exam is:
Sections 4.1-4.9
Sections 5.1-5.4
Sections 6.1-6.5 and 6.8-6.9
Sections 7.1-7.2
Sections 10.1-10.3
There are many examples in these chapters that we have not covered in class, and you need not worry about them: The exam will be based on the material covered in the lectures.
Calculator: You are allowed to bring an approved calculator to the exam. The list of approved calculators is here (I have only found one in Norwegian). Don't worry too much about calculators; I honestly don't think you will need one.
Formula sheet: This formula sheet for STK1100-STK1110 will come as an attachment to the exam. You don't need to bring it.
Exam form: This is a traditional pen-and-paper exam. As we are using carbon paper to get three copies, write with a pen (and not a pencil) and if there is anything you want to remove, just scratch it out (if you try to erase it in a more civilized way, chances are that it won't get through to the copies). Try not to have separate sheets on top of each other as you are writing as this may cause problems for the carbon copies. You'll find the official page for school exams here.
Time and place: June 8th, 9.00-13.00, at Silurveien 2. More information (in Norwegian) here.
Questions during the exam: In case you have questions about the problems, I'll be available around 10 o'clock. It's a good idea to have read through all the questions before that time. You are allowed to ask about anything, but I am not allowed to help you with the problems, only to clarify what may seem unclear.
