Exercises to earlier weeks
Week 47: Exercise 4.4. A solution is given here
Week 46: No new exercises. The students should look at the former exercises in order to prepare for the project exam.
Weeks 44 and 45: Exercises 4.1 and 4.2. Trial project . The trial project gives a nice illustration on the practical use of a number of the statistical methods in chapters 3 and 4, and it illustrates how the project exam may look like. Comments on the solution of the trial project were given in week 45.
Week 43: Practical exercise 5 .
Week 42: Exercises 3.10 and 3.12. Practical exercise 4 . Exercise 3.12 gives a nice illustration on the use of a number of the theoretical results on counting processes and martingales. The students should make an extra effort to do this exercise, and those who are interested may hand it in for correction. A solution to the exercise will be given in week 43.
Week 41: Exercises 3.5, 3.6, and 3.8. Practical exercise 2 and practical exercise 3 .
Week 40: Exercises 2.12 and 3.3. Practical exercise 1 .
Week 39: Exercises 2.9, 2.11, and 3.1.
Weeks 37 and 38: Exercises 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, and 2.8.
Week 36: Exercises 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, and 1.10. Before you do the exercises you should read briefly through sections 1.4.3 and 1.5.1.
