The oral examination for STK9080 will be on Monday 20th of December. Exact times will be announced.
(The written exam for STK4080 is, as previously announced, on Friday 10th of December, 14:30-18:30.)
Reminder: The deadline for handing in projects for STK4080/9080 is Friday 26 November, 14:00 (2PM).
Please send me (osamuels@math.uio.no) an electronic version (pdf is best) of your report. Language (as long as it is English or Norwegian) and program used for preparing the report is optional (nicely handwritten is fine).
Important message: Everyone who plans to take the exam in STK4080 or STK9080 needs to send me an email (osamuels@math.uio.no). On Friday Nov 12 before noon (12:00) you will then receive the project you are assigned along with the data set you will work on.
Trial Project: As preperation for the exam project you may do a trial project found on this link
You may hand in your solution (deadline Tuesday November 2nd) to get comments on your work.
Here are the R-commands (without comment lines) that I used when we discussed the project in class.
The exam project (both STK4080 and STK9080) will be available friday November 12. The deadline for handing in the project will be Friday November 26.
The student representative for STK4080/9080 is Rune Hoff (runehof at student.matnat.uio.no).
The exam for STK4080 will consist of a project - carried out in November (exact dates will be given soon) - and a written exam December 10th.
In STK9080 there is also a project (with the same deadlines as STK4080), but an oral exam. The date for this examination will be determined later.
On next tuesday (14th) I suggest we do the exercises in the first hour (9:15-10:00) and the lecture in the last two.
Here is a pdf from the first lecture (with correction of a few typos).
Exercises for next week are Exercises 1.1-1.5 in Aalen, Borgan & Gjessing, pg. 37-38.
Welcome to STK4080. The first lecture will be Tuesday August 24, 9:15-12:00 in Seminar room B81 in Nils Henrik Abels House.
For the course we will use the textbook Aalen, O.O., Borgan, ?., and Gjessing, H.: Event History Analysis: A Process Point of View. Springer-Verlag, 2008. ISBN: 978-0-387-20287-7
The curriculum will be approximately the same as in 2008
