Below are given exercises for the coming week(s) and an overview of exercises that have been given to earlier weeks.

Week 45: There were no teaching in week 45.

Week 44: Exercises 5.1 and 5.4. Note the corrections to exercise 5.1 given at the list of corrections . Solutions to exercises 5.1 and 5.4 are given here.

Week 43: Exercises 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5. Practical exercise 9. Solutions to exercises  4.3, 4.4 and 4.5 are given here. R-code for the practical exercise 9 is given under Computing.

Week 42: Practical exercise 8. R-code for the practical exercise 8 is given under Computing. In addition the students should work on the trial project . The students should make an extra effort to do the trial project, and those who are interested may hand it in for correction. The deadline is Friday 24 October. Comments on the solution of the trial project will be given in week 44.

Week 41: Exercises 4.1 and 4.2. Practical exercise 7. Note the correction to exercise 4.1 given at the list of corrections. Solutions to exercises  4.1 and 4.2 are given here. R-code for the practical exercise 7 is given under Computing.

Week 40: Exercises 3.9, 3.10, and 3.12. Practical exercise 5 and practical exercise 6. Solution to exercise 3.10 is given here. R-code for exercise 3.9 and the practical exercises are given under Computing.

Exercise 3.9 should be done using R. In practical exercise 3  it is described how you may read the data for exercise 3.9 into R.

Exercise 3.12 gives a nice illustration on the use of a number of the theoretical results on counting processes and martingales. The students should make an extra effort to do this exercise, and those who are interested may hand it in for correction (deadline: Monday 6 October).
