First lecture

Welcome to the course STK4150/9150 "Environmental and Spatial Statistics".

In the lecture today, we will go over an introduction of the course content and structure, and discuss a few statistical preliminaries that we will be using later in the course. This corresponds roughly to the first 2 chapters in the book "Statistics for Spatio-temporal Data".

I will post lectures and notes here on the course website. However, there will be no recordings of the lectures.

For today though, the lecture will be hybrid so that those of you that are not able to attend in-person can join via Zoom using the link you should have in the email I sent earlier today.
