A deferred/new exam in STK4900/9900 (project exam and written exam) for students who were ill or absent (for valid reasons) at the ordinary exam and for students who failed the ordinary exam, will be arranged as follows:
- The written exam will be held August 15th.
- The project exam will be made available at the course web-page August 15th. The deadline is August 29th.
Students who completed the project exam in May, but were ill or absent (for valid reasons) at the written exam, may choose to keep their previous project. Students who failed, have to retake both the written exam and the project exam.
Monday June 2nd, 10:00-16:00 we will arrange a socalled oracle service. This mean you as a preperation for the exam on the following Wednesday can come by our offices on 8th floor of the math building to ask questions regarding the course.

The deadline for handing in the answer to the project is Thursday May 15, You should mark the answer with course and candidate number only. Candidate numbers will be available in StudentWeb Friday May 2nd.
As previously mentioned the project exam counts 50% and the written exam on June 4 the second half of the grade for the course.

both the computer exercise and the theoretical (exam) exercise, will be held together at the computer lab from 13:00. We try to finish by 15:00.

The corrected reports can be picked up at the Department of Mathematics (where they where handed in).
Those who have failed, will get a new chance. The revised version has to be handed in before 14.30 on Thursday April 10th.
The exam in STK4900/9900 consists of a project exam and a written exam. The written exam will be Wednesday June 4th.
The project exam will be handed out Tuesday April 29th. The deadline for handing in the solution of the project exam will be Wednesday May 14th. More info will come!

R can be downloaded to your computer free of charge on windows, mac and linux-platforms from http://cran.r-project.org/
If you have problems installing R help can be given at computer exercises.
As a preparation to the first part of the course, the students are encouraged to recapitulate the main themes of Chapters 6, 7, 10 and 11 in the course book for STK1000; see here for details (or the similar material in another introductory book in statistics).
The lectures and exercise classes in STK4900/STK9900 will take place Monday to Friday in weeks 8 and 14 (17th-21st of February and 31th of March-4th of April). In these weeks there will be lectures 9.15-12.00 and exercise classes 13.15-16.00.
