HLED4207 – Nordic Health Politics and Policy
Course content
In this course students will get a comparative historical introduction to the health care systems of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Iceland and the Faeroe Islands will only briefly be discussed.
Learning outcome
- to give students a good overview of the developmental characteristics and present nature of the Nordic health care models and how, and why, they differ and are alike
- to develop students’ ability to analyse health care systems in a comparative-historical way
- to make students see the strategic policy potential of a comparative-historical approach to understanding health care systems
