Syllabus/achievement requirements

The lectures are considered to be part of the syllabus in addition to the written syllabus below. More detailed information about how much effort that should be put into the different parts of the syllabus will be given the lectures. Material handed out during lectures (and posted on Fronter) will also be considered part of the syllabus.

Employees and students at UiO have access to all e-journals that UiO subscribe to (4500 titles). The access is limited to PCs with an IP-number belonging to UiO. In the reading list articles available on the web are marked "Subscription".

Textbook

Barros, P. P., Martinez-Giralt, X., 2012. Health Economics. An industrial organization perspective. Routledge, London and New York.

Chapters 1-5 are more general economics introduction and are already familiar to the students.

Chapters 6 – 17 are mainly about health economics and will be important reading material. More detailed guidance regarding the individual chapters will be given at the lectures.
