Learning outcome
The two main purposes of this course are to teach the students different measures of estimating quality adjusted life years and to train the students to estimate QALYs by using different statistical methods.

Prerequisites
Recommended previous knowledge
Some basic knowledge about health economic evaluation is preferable, but not necessary. Basic knowledge in using SPSS.

Examination
Home exam. After two days with lecturing and lab, there will be given an exam to be written at home. The exam shall be handed in at 10am on Monday the 26th of May. Further each student shall have a presentation of their exam. The presentations will take place on the 26th and the 27th of May.
Language of examination
All written exams and term papers at the master's programme in Health Economics, Policy and Management have to be conducted in English.
Grading scale
Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.

The course is subject to continuous evaluation. At regular intervals we also ask students to participate in a more comprehensive evaluation.
