Forberedelse til praktisk introduksjon til pediatri - onsdag 18.08 og onsdag 25.08

This is a group based teaching with 5 different stations. It¡¯s goal is to prepare you to examine children with different ages and to obtain a pediatric medical record.

The stations are either practical or workshops and your contribution is essential for ¡°l?ringsutbyttet¡±

It is 5 stations of 25 min each. It will be an intense day so eat well before and be prepared.

1-2 of the clinical small groups will be together. Due to the current situation, the group will stay at one room and the teachers will circulate. The teaching is at Ferdighetssenteret at Rikshospitalet.

The rooms will be marked with group numbers and we ask you to enter the room immediately when you arrive. Remember to keep at least 1m distance to everybody at all times. Both students and teachers will carry masks during the whole course. Masks will be provided and please put one on once you arrive.

Preparations: 

• Read the ?Pediatric record template? that you will find on the semester page and as a resource in the time schedule.
• Meet dressed in white without your bag.
• Bring your stethoscope and a pencil

Topic for the stations: 

• Acutely ill child 
• Measuring growth parameters and evaluating puberty
• Ear-Nose-Throat examination and examination of young children.
• History taking and examination of children
• Newborn examination
