About the exam: Remember that the exam in ECON3120/4120 is an "open book" exam, meaning that you are allowed to use all printed or written material, i.e. books, notes, old problem solutions, etc. Calculators are also allowed (but remember to have fresh batteries for them). Be sure to know your course number, 3120 for bachelor students, 4120 for master students. Good luck! Arne Str?m
More homework: Here are a few more old exam problems that you ought to do: 17, 19, 25, 39, 42, 70. You will get solutions of them on Thursday 14 May. A.S.
Problems in maximization/minimization. The seminars are over, but you still ought to do as many problems as you can. For Thursday 30 April I recommend that you look at exam problems 39, 51, 73, and 115. You will get solutions of these problems on Thursday, and perhaps a few comments. A.S.
Oracle service. Knut Syds?ter will be offering an "oracle service" in ECON3120/4120 on Thursday afternoons between 14:15 and 16:00, in room 1149.
There will be two seminars after Easter. Since 13 April is a holiday, seminar week number 10 will run from Wednesday 15 April until Monday 20 April, and seminar week number 11 from Wednesday 22 April until Monday 27 April. There was a misprint in the first version of the problem list for seminar 10. The extra exam problems should be 62, 14, and 94 (not 44). A.S.
There are no compulsory term papers in ECON3120/4120 this semester, but I offer a voluntary term paper to everyone interested in getting a little practice in writing answers to mathematics problems. You ought to try your hand at the problems in this paper and hand in your work for marking, even if you have not been able to do all the problems. It is OK to discuss the problems with your friends, but remember that you should write your solutions yourself. Arne Str?m
I have been lagging behind the original lecture plan lately, so I have made a revised plan for the rest of the semester. You will find the revised plan on this page. Note that there is no lecture on Thursday 5 March (the auditorium is taken for something else). Arne Str?m
The contact students for ECON3120/4120 this term are Ingrid Huitfeldt and Martin Vik.

While you are waiting for the seminars to start you ought to try your hand at a few problems that are not in the book. Under the heading Homework on this page you will find a few such problems that were handed out on Thursday 15 Jan. Answers to those problems will be posted on this page on Monday 19 Jan, possibly together with a few more problems. Arne Str?m
