Week 46: Solutions to exercises 7e and 7f, together with a comment regarding exercise 5d are posted under seminar exercises, see Week 46 bis.
Sketch answers to regular and postponed exam 2008H have been put on the net under no-seminar exercises.
A revised reading list can be found on the net. The revisions are all for chapter 8 and 9.
A printing mistake in the solutions to exercise 2d in the solution to no-seminar exercises for week 43 has been corrected (a minus sign should be plus in some formulas).
A calculation error in the solutions (in the CI's in exercise 1H) to the week 45 exercises, has now been corrected.
Some answers to the exercises in the lecture notes for Rice chapter 8 have been put on the net.
Printing mistake in no-seminar exercises week 45. The VC i no. 1c(iii) should be one over square root of alpha. It is now corrected.

The evaluation is done on the internet (open from november) and the deadline for giving your answer is Desember 11th. Please note that there are questions concerning exams, so preferably you should not answer this form until after your exam. Your answer will be anonymous.

Group 1 seminar Friday 30 October will be held in seminarroom 210 in Eilert Sundts hus, 8:15 - 10.
Seminar 1, Fridays at 8:15-10, is cancelled November 6, and will be held October 30 in room 210 Eilert Sundt building.
Note that the hint for exercise 5:5 for the week 42 seminar, has been corrected and updated.
Note that the remark on modelling at the end of the introduction to no-seminar-exercise week 41, has been slightly extended from the first version.
Revision of no-seminar exercises for week 41. I was made aware by a student of an error in the symbols used in exercise 2f. This is now corrected. In addition, I have added a paragraph on the modelling of joint distributions at the end of the introduction. HG.
Seminars week 40: Since we did not succeed to discuss the Rice exercise 3:10 planned for the seminar week 40, a solution to that particular exercise has been put on the net.
Important! To access STATA you have to use the "Remote desktop connection" as described in the tutorial, but the name icaros is wrong. Use instead the name statwin32. I have now corrected the tutorial.
Seminar 3 will be given on Fridays from 12:00 to 14:00. This week we shall use Room 1205 ("the Frisch Room"). In the weeks 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 room 017 in Harriet Holters building will be used.

Note that exercises are also given in weeks with no seminars - starting week 37. For these exercises complete solutions will be put on the net at the end of each week in question. It is strongly recommended that the students invest time to work with these exercises before they see the solution. It will be assumed that the students are familiar with all topics, technicalities and methods covered in exercises which may supplement material covered in the lectures.
