I have asked about what you can bring with you to the exam. You can only bring a dictionary. This must be given to Tone Enger the working day before the exam. That is, before 3PM on Friday 2nd. No books or formula collections are allowed.

Hi all. We are approaching the final lecture and the exam. I have received some requests for a topic for the last seminar. Prominent among these requests is the topic of general equilibrium with externalities which is what I'll start with. Also, note that the slides for Lectures 2 and 3 have been posted. They were never meant to be posted and they should be complemented with blackboard material so I don't know how useful they will be.
A preliminary version of the description of the fellowship can be found here. The most important bit (in fact the only bit)that is missing is the application deadline. This will be posted and the students who have expressed an interest will then be notified. But feel free to send in your application right away.
I will be travelling and not return until May 18th. I have left the solutions manual for Kolstad's book in the "ekspedisjonskontor," and it can be borrowed there for short periods of time. (If the book isn't immediately available on Wednesday 3rd, it will be.)

Important! Due to unforseen circumstances I will have to be in Trondheim on May 3rd. That means that the last lecture must be postponed until May 24th. This lecture will be used to sum up and take questions. If you have questions that you want me to cover, please send me an e-mail.

I have now posted a solution to the problems in the term paper. Enjoy :-) The term papers will be graded by the end of Easter.
Quite a few bits has been posted here in the last two days. Wednesday's lecture notes will not come up until this weekend and will then contain a full treatment of a model with assymmetric information. Also, I had put down a seminar on a national holiday. Duh! This seminar is moved to 24/4.

Helpful hint! Many students have come to me in despair about how to find marginal costs of emission constraints. In order to find the marginal cost of a constraint, find the shadow price associated with that constraint.
The answer form group 4 is now posted. It is a bit late and this can not be blamed on the group.
Student Scholarships! There are three scholarships available for students who write their masters thesis in health economics. As environmental and resource economics have many tangents to health issues, I encourage those of you with relevant interests to apply.
For those of you who are solving the exercises in Kolstad's book, I now have the Solutions Manual. This can be borrowed from me by turning up at my office. As I anticipate a high level of demand I will only lend it out for short time periods.

You will receive the term paper tomorrow. I am not sure when as it will be posted here by the administration, but it should be some time before noon. When you submit the paper, remember to sign for it!

A small mistake has been corrected in the seminar exercise for group 4. (A parameter has been raised to the power of 2.)
I have noticed that there are fewer people on the seminars than on the lectures. I want to stress that the stuff you learn in seminars is just as important as the stuff you learn in the lectures.
Revised lecture plan is now posted. There is no lecture on March 15th and March 22nd. Nor is there any seminar on Monday 20th.
