PSYFL5050 – Research and publication

Course content

This course serves as a continuation of PSYFL5000 and PSYFL5010, where participants remain integral members of a specific research group. Throughout the course, students will finalize their scientific articles, present them at internal seminars, and work towards submitting these articles for publication. This final year in the Forskerlinje program demands the full utilization of the skills acquired in previous courses.

Learning outcome

This course places specific emphasis on the entire scientific process, culminating in the submission of a scientific article. Furthermore, it concludes with an oral defense, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the research journey.

Formal prerequisite knowledge

To be eligible for this course, students must be enrolled in the Student Research Program (Forskerlinje)? and have completed PSYFL5000 and PSYFL5010.

Teaching

Teaching sessions will be conducted within the respective research groups and supervised by the research program's instructors.

Examination

The examination for this course consists of an oral defense of the written end-report from the Forskerlinje. The report should be a minimum of 10 pages, with 1.5 line spacing and a font size of 12. During the defense, candidates will reflect on their progression toward becoming independent researchers and address methodological and ethical concerns. The grading scale is pass/fail.
