Your exam questions will be available from 14 November. The submission deadline is 28 November at 1500hrs. We are using the digital examination system Inspera.
You have two weeks available. This gives you some flexibility. We know that there are also other exams and submission deadlines within the same period and do not expect that you spend two full weeks of work on your paper which in length equals that of an ordinary home exam, 3000-4000 words.
In stead of the ordinary lecture on 12 October, we will attend a seminar at the institute for Social Anthropology, Eilert Sundts hus room 648. Afterwards we will continue discussion in our own group at room 205 at TF.
Please contact the lecturer if you have not received an email with further details.
The lecture planned for 12 October will instead be held on 14 October.
Please remember to send a short e-mail to the lecturer (vebjorn.horsfjord@teologi.uio.no) by 1 October about on which book you will be writing your book review (elective study -- see reading list for details).
The deadline for the book report itself is 1 November
An updated list of assignments has been posted in Fronter. Please check and let me know if it contains errors. All students must write ONE assignment (in addition to the book report) and ONE response.
It is students' own responsibility that they submit the compulsory course work. If your name has been left out of the list by mistake, it does not mean that you are exempt from the course work.
Also note that the deadline for the first assignments is 16 September.
In Fronter you will now find a document called "Assignments 050916" in the "Assignments" folder. This pertains to the compulsory short papers. Those who signed up for specific assignments in lectures last week, will find their names in the "writers" column. Please let me know if there are mistakes.
Those who have not signed up, may send me an e-mail (vebjorn.horsfjord@teologi.uio.no) by Wednesday 7 September and notify which assignment they would like to write. Note: maximum two students per topic. On Friday I will post a new version of the list with all students' names, and also with respondents.
The document also contains detailed instructions about your writing and how to post it in Fronter. Please read this very carefully. Note for example that you are expected to reflect on several texts, not only the one directly to the left of your name.
Good luck with your work!
Vebj?rn Horsfjord
