What do you have to do if you can’t attend a class or hand in a mandatory assignment by the deadline?
- Teaching without attendance requirements: You do not need to give notice of absence.
- Teaching with attendance requirements: You must apply for an approved absence if you fall behind the stated attendance percentage for the course.

- Written submission of a mandatory assignment: If you cannot submit by the deadline, you must apply for an approved absence/postponed deadline. The application must be documented.
If you have a long period/long periods of absence(s), the course supervisor can assess whether you should be given additional assignments.
