The start of the semester for new master's students is week 33. On this page you will find an overview of everything you need to know and do before the start of studies and a program for the first week.
Welcome week
The mandatory information meeting
We want to welcome you to our department, and you will receive important information about your program. The meeting will be held on August 13th at 10:00 in Auditorium 3 in Kristine Bonnevie's house.
Meet the IBV researchers
On August 16th at 13:00, Auditorium 3 you are invited to meet our researchers. This event will serve as a valuable opportunity for you to gain insight into the diverse research sections within our Department. Pizza will be served!

We are located in Kristine Bonnevies hus at Blindern campus. Read about how you can get here by public transport.

The list is continuously updated and provides information about ongoing projects and what our various research groups are working on.
Additionally, following the welcome week you will be invited to attend presentations of possible master's projects from the various research sections at IBV.
Courses
Please note that the deadline for registration for courses is Thursday 15th of August. Therefore, it is important that you review recommended courses in advance. Some programme options have mandatory courses that you have to register for. You can find more information regarding mandatory courses on your programme's website.
Please remember to complete the semester registration in Studentweb before you sign up for courses through the "active courses" tab.
We advise you to wait for the actual registration until you have attended the welcome meeting on Wednesday. But make sure you familiarize yourself with your options.
