Medical studies require a high degree of attendance and participation. Studies are considered the main occupation. We offer special teaching arrangements on the basis of certain criteria.
Students who are parents of children up to 10 years old and students with impairments may apply for special teaching arrangements.
Residential address, work- or economic circumstances, research work or sport contracts are not qualifying factors for receiving special teaching arrangements.
Special teaching arrangements
If a student meets the criteria for adapted teaching, adjustments regarding clinical small group teaching can be made, by placing the student in a group with the most optimal schedule possible.
All students will have teaching activities at Oslo University Hospital (Rikshospitalet/Ullev?l/Radiumhospitalet) and Akershus University Hospital (Ahus). All students at Campus s?r will have teaching activities in Kristiansand and Arendal. It is not possible to apply for exemption from this rule.
Application deadline
Special teaching arrangements are only granted for whole modules at a time and not for parts of modules. An application must therefore be submitted by 1 May for modules starting in the autumn semester and by 1 November for modules starting in the spring semester.
If emergencies or unforeseen events occur after the application deadline, affected students may apply after the deadline.
Application
Please use the application form to apply.
The allocation of groups take place relatively soon after the application deadline. We therefore ask that documentation is submitted together with the application, as far as possible.
If documentation has been submitted for previous applications and a new request is submitted on the same grounds, documentation need not be re-submitted. An example of such documentation could be a child’s birth certificate.
