About the Workshop
In addition to being a response to changes in light conditions, pupil dilation is a physiological response to shifts between different emotional and cognitive states. In other words, the pupil dilates as a result of increased attention or cognitive load, or of emotional and cognitive arousal. The measure of this process is called pupillometry, and is a feature of many modern eye-tracking technologies.
In connection with Professor Bruno Laeng's 2024 EyeHub Lecture, EyeHub organizes a pupillometry workshop, held by Camilo R. Ronderos (Postdoctoral fellow at IFIKK).
Program:
- 10:00 - 11:00: Conceptual introduction to pupillometry
- 11:00 - 12:00: Overview of previous pupillometry research and brainstorming of new project ideas
- 12:00 - 13:00: Lunch break
- 13:00 - 15:00: Whirlwind tour of experiment programming and setup, and preprocessing of pupillometry data
There are limited spots available, so please register! Lunch will be served.
