The election committee at UiO approved the candidates in their meeting on 13 January 2025. All students (registered), PHD and staff holding at least a 50% position, as well as Professor II, are eligible to vote for their preferred rector and pro-rector. Eligibility to vote is determined by the individual's employment status on the day they cast their vote.
The election is a so-called preferential election. Eligible voters must rank the teams and can vote for as many teams as they like. Election regulations for the University of Oslo (Norwegian)
