UiO is trialling new methods for producing access cards. The IT Departement and the Estate Department is doing a pilot project where first-year students in the professional studies of medicine, law, and psychology starting at UiO in January 2025, should order their cards by submitting a photo through an online form and collect the cards at their respective locations. These students must follow the checklist in My Studies, not  cards by visiting the card centre, but
Exchange students starting at UiO in January 2025 should follow the instructions provided in the information they receive via email.
