Cybernetics student Leonard Sandl?kk Schiller is well underway with his summer project. He is one of 50 students who have received a scholarship from UiO:Life Science to participate in a real research project over a six-week period this summer. We meet him at the Department of Technology Systems in Kjeller, where he is immersing himself in his summer project.

UiO:Life Science has granted 150,000 NOK for the development of the new interdisciplinary course KOS1500 – Bridging Humanities and Medicine for Sustainable Societal Impact – An Introduction to Translational Medical Humanities.
In the autumn of 2024, UiO:Life Sciences announced a new application round for convergence environments. By the application deadline on 27 May, 51 applications were received.

This year, six start-ups and innovation projects participated in the pitching contest taking place at the Norway Life Science Conference.
Five new teams are ready for UiO:Life Science's innovation programme for health-related life sciences, SPARK Norway. The teams will develop their ideas within health-related life sciences for the benefit of patients and society.
The Honours Certificate in Life Science Innovation was offered for the first time at the University of Oslo last year, and already 14 students have successfully completed the programme and earned the certificate.
