Two-factor authentication is required for email at UiO. From 1 May 2023, IMAP will only be available for machines and devices on UiO's wired and wireless networks. If you are outside UiO, you will not be able to read e-mail with IMAP on your iPhone and/or iPad.
To still be able to read e-mail on your device, you must use Apple Mail with Exchange after this date. You are recommended to make this change already now!
Delete IMAP setup
- On your device, go to Settings and Internet Accounts.
- Select Accounts.
- Select the account you have with IMAP setup (its name will most likely be UiO).
- In the window for your IMAP setup, click Delete Account.
- If you don't already have an Exchange setup for Apple Mail and want to set it up, follow this guide (Norwegian).
