Fox Account Creation and Login (SSH)

Fox is accessed in the command-line via SSH, not VMWare Horizon as in the rest of Educloud

Creating an account

To apply for an account, please see the Educloud Research application instructions.

Note: if you do not already have a project code, please use the default code ec12

SSH and Login

In order to ssh to the Fox cluster, you can use:

# NOTE the Educloud-specific username! Educloud usernames commonly start with 'ec-'.
ssh <educloud-username>@fox.educloud.no 

You will be prompted for:

1. the second password is the Fox/Educloud password you created with your account
2. the One-Time Code you set up with the 2-factor authentication app
