UiO users: see important cost information here
There will be a baseline project cost, and then a cost per user due to licensing costs that are based on number of users able to log into a project. Additionally there will be a cost connected to:
- Additional virtual machine hardware (more than the baseline VMs)
- Additional use of storage (more than baseline storage)
- Use of the HPC system
- Additional use of backup (more backup than for the baseline storage area)
All costs are on the order and cost website.
We will strive to show monthly cost, and accumulated cost in the PI web-admin interface. Educloud Research cost will be invoiced once a year (October-ish) and the cost accumulated from 1.October 20XX to 1.October (20xx+1). In the first project year one will be invoiced only for the active months.
First invoicing will be based on usage from 1.October 2021 and will be invoiced in October/November 2022 for any non-UiO project.
Project ownership is based on the primary affiliation of the PI, obvious attempts to use straw-men PIs will be commented upon and may cause project shutdown in Educloud Research.
