Documentation requirements for Nigeria

  • Upload documents preferably in PDF or JPG format at the online application system (S?knadsweb) within the application deadline.
  • When uploading documents, you acknowledge that the University of Oslo may contact the issuing institution for verification.
  • Submission of fraudulent documents is illegal, and will be reported to the proper authorities and may lead to dismissal and loss of right to study. Your are liable for uploading true and unaltered documents.
  • If admitted, you must bring your original documents with you as you might be asked to present the documents to the University. Failure to submit documents on request will lead to dismissal.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Required education:

One of the following qualifications meets the education requirements:

  • Senior School Certificate (issued either by the West African Examinations Council or the National Examinations Council) with at least 6 subjects of which English, Maths and one science subject (either Biology, Chemistry or Physics) must be passed + 1 year of university education.
  • West African Senior School Certificate (issued by West African Examinations Council) with at least 6 subjects of which English, Mathematics and one science subject (either biology, chemistry or physics) must be passed + 1 year of university education.
  • West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O Level) + 1 year of university education.
  • West African Examinations Council, General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O Level) + West African Examinations Council, Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A level) with 3 A-levels.

Passport, English proficiency and financing

Upload a copy of your passport ID-page. Name the pdf or jpg file passport or idcard.

Documentation of English language proficiency Applicants with English as a course in secondary education from Nigeria are exempted.

Documentation of name change

(if applicable)

Upload officially certified documentation of name change if name appears different in any document.

West African Senior School Certificate issued by the West African Examinations Council

Senior School Certificate issued by the National Examinations Council

or

West African Examinations Council Higher School Certificate GCE A-level

West African Examinations Council School Certificate GCE O-level

Access card / results checker (scratch card) issued by West African Examinations Council eller the National Examinations Council. You can scan and upload the cards. Please double-check that your results are available on the WAEC/NECO website. Name the pdf or jpg file scratchcard.

In addition, you must upload a scanned copy of your statement of results/confirmation. Name the pdf or jpg file secondary.

If you have not yet received a final Bachelor's Degree diploma you must upload a Success Certificate/Attestation of results. It must be clear from your transcript when the degree was conferred.

Note: We do not accept Success Certificate(s)/Attestation(s) of results older than 5 years.

Name your pdf or jpg file(s) bachelor.

Any attempt to obtain admission with fraudulent documents is illegal and will be reported to the proper authorities.
