This master’s degree is a two year programme consisting of a total of 120 ECTS credits.

  • 60 credits master's thesis or 30 credits project term and 30 credits master's thesis

Work on the Master?s thesis IBS4390 – Master's Thesis in Ibsen Studies is based on IBS4001 – Theory and Methods in Ibsen Studies , where the students are to define the problematic issues and produce a preliminary project description for their thesis.

The thesis is to be completed in the third and fourth semesters.

The length of the master's thesis is a maximum of 100 pages, approximately 2300 characters per page, not including spaces. Individual supervision is provided throughout the process.

The master's thesis is to be written in English, Norwegian, Swedish or Danish. The amount of work required is the equivalent of 60 credits.

Work on the master?s thesis IBS4395 is based on IBS4001 – Theory and Methods in Ibsen Studies , where the students are to define the problematic issues and produce a preliminary project description for their thesis.

    This programme leads to the following degree: Master of Philosophy in Ibsen Studies
