1. Make a password
- after you have received your UiO username either by SMS (to the Norwegian number you have registered in Studentweb) or in the welcome package you got from International Student Reception.
- Read the IT-rules at UiO
- You can use the same username and password to log in everywhere at UiO (Email, Fronter, Studentweb etc).
- Read more about situation where you have No password or no username, and if those tips does not solve the situation, you can contact IT-Help to get help retrieving the username and password.
2. Pay the semester fee
3. Register as a student and register for courses
- The deadline is 1 September for autumn semester and 1 February for spring semester. We recommend you register before the first lecture, week 34.
- Find your course codes. Course codes for the first semester are:
- INTHE4019 - Fundamentals of International Community Health
- HELSEF4410 - Introduction to Qualitative Methods
- INTHE4020 - Introduction to Quantitative Methods
- INTHE4021 - Introduction to Epidemiology
- When you are away at fieldwork, you still have to register yourself for an exam. As there are no exams in the 3rd semester, you have to register that you will take the INTHE4012 exam in the 4th semester.

- You may use our Internet Guide to International Health to find information about different topics.
6. Keep yourself updated
- by following our information channels (your UIO email, Canvas, the program webpages)
7. Keep your user account active
- To ensure that your account is kept active it is important that you pay your semester fees and register for courses in the studentweb before the given deadlines each semester.
- You will also need to change your password at least once a year. You will be given a reminder some weeks before the deadline through your UiO email.
