Physics (master)
In this programme option you can specialise in ozone and UV radiation, radiation transport through planet atmospheres, northern lights, and physical phenomena associated with magnetic space plasma. Research assignments are offered on a wide selection of topics ranging from instrumentation, experimental and empirical work methods, to theory and numerical modelling. Master’s theses may be linked to the rocket and satellite programmes at ESA (European Space Agency) and NASA, to EISCAT – measuring programme for aurora borealis over northern Norway and Spitsbergen, as well as ground-based and satellite measuring of solar radiation.
