Course content
The course deals with selected molecular, cellular and medical aspects of neurobiology.
Learning outcome
By end of the course, the students know:
- Neurocellular anatomy and cell membrane functions
- Intercellular signaling in the nervous system
- Intracellular signaling
- Neurodegeneration/neurotoxicity
Admission to the course
Students who are admitted to study programmes at UiO must each semester register which courses and exams they wish to sign up for?in Studentweb.
The course is open to students who have had their study plan approved for the advanced part of the Professional Pharmacy Programme at the University of Oslo. This requires that all previous Pharmacy courses have been passed. The course is also open to other Master PhD students for whom this course may be relevant.
Only students admitted to the course may take part in instruction and tuition and sit for the examination.
Formal prerequisite knowledge
The course is only available to students who have passed their pharmacy apprenticeship and have passed all previous pharmacy courses.

- 10 credits overlap with FRM9750 – Neurobiology (discontinued).

Inactivity and / or excessive absences in compulsory education means that the student does not receive final assessment / examination

You may submit your response in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish or English. If you would prefer to have the exam text in English, you may apply to the course administrators.
