There will be no lectures Monday 14th and Thursday 18th Nov. Work on the assignments and try to complete them within this week. The last lecture will be Monday 21st (on neutrons).
Exercises in Monte Carlo simulations and X-ray physics. Week 45 will be dedicated to these, Reports need to be finished two weeks before the exam (scheduled for december 8).
As mentioned, week 40 (October 3-7) is dedicated to work with exercises, which are based on the lectures done up till now. The exercises may be found here. Start first with the exercises for Chapter 7 and 8 in the textbook, and familiarize yourself with quantities and concepts. Then proceed with the dedicated exercises. You may work alone or together during the week . Ty to answer as many questions as possible. On monday october 10th we will go through them on the blackboard.
The main book we will use in the course is Introduction to Radiological Physics and Radiation Dosimetry by F.H. Attix. The course syllabus may be found here, with references to given chapters in the textbook.
