Thursday April 27: Due to an excursion, the lecture is cancelled. It will be given on tuesday May 2 (14.15-16).
Tuesday April 25 (14.15-16): Problems 11 and 16 on p.138, problems 4,5,13,15 and 17 on p.160/161.
Tuesday April 18 (14:15-16): Problems 2,3,5,9,11 and 16 on p.138.

Tuesday April 4 (14:15-16): Problems 2,3,6,9 and 13 on p.123/124.
Tuesday March 28 (14:15-16): We will go through assignment no. 2, and you get back your reports. If time left, problems 2 and 3 on p.123 will be solved.
Deadline for the third assignment is thursday April 6 at 16:00.
Tuesday March 14 (14:15-16): Obligatory assignment no. 3 (gravity) will be presented. After that, problems 10 and 18 on p.106 will be solved.
NB! Assignments no. 2, 3 and 4: Do NOT write your name on the reports, but use your candidate number (see the studweb).
Deadline for the second assignment is friday March 3.
Tuesday February 28 (14:15-16): First, we will go through assignment no. 1 (you get back the reports). Then, problems 7(v)-(viii) p.83 and 1,3,7,8,10,18 on p.106/107 will be solved.
Tuesday February 21 (14:15-16): First, obligatory assignment no. 2 (refraction seismology) will be presented. Then we will solve problems 3 and 7 on p.82/83 and problem 1 on p.105.
Tuesday February 14 (14:15-16): Problems 8 and 13 p. 63/64. Derive eqs. 6.3a and b on p. 68. Problems 2,3,5 and 7 on p. 82/83.
Tuesday February 7 (14:15-16): When finished with problems in ch. 4, we keep on with 1,2,3,7,8 and 13 on p. 63/64.
Deadline for the first assignment is friday February 10.
