The time schedule for the exam is now available. The exam takes place on Tuesday June 3rd and June 4th, in Room 2G (oral exam) 3A (written exam), the Informatikk building. Please show up 15 min. before your scheduled time and remember to bring valid ID. The exam is graded A-F. For more info on the exam see INF5200.
On Tuesday May 27th we have a joint lecture with CSCL (TOOL) in which you present your projects. See time schedule for when your are to present. The lecture starts at 13:00, the INFRA room, InterMedia. It’s a great opportunity for preparing for the exam.
If you have any last minute questions about concepts, theories and/or other stuff relating to the content of the texts we have been reading, I’ll have my door open for ‘office hours’ on Friday May 30th from 9.30-12.00. Pop me an email to schedule a time.

Remember that Yrj? Engestr?m (Cultural Historical Activity Theory) gives a lecture about the key concepts of Activity Theory to day (Tuesday March 25th) from 10:30-11:30 at Intermedia
Astrid provides feedback on your essays before and after the lecture (on the following week of the deadline). Please contact her to schedule a meeting.
Within the earlier phases of your essay it is important for you to consider and describe the following:
- What assignment you have chosen: Practical, Empirical or Theoretical.
- Which issue(s) you want to investigate.
- What CSCW is and how this definition relates to what you want to investigate (you’ll be able to expand further on this issue as the course proceeds).
- Following the above: How do you want to approach the assignment?
- If you, e.g., want to use ANT you’ll have to justify how it is fruitful for your CSCW related study.
For earlier drafts it's ok to leave open some questions – maybe you’re not quite sure what the topic should (r)evolve around yet; but write down your ideas. If you include reflections like these it’s easier to guide you to a study you find interesting and which makes you work with the literature presented in class -- you are to be well wandered in syllabus at the exam.

Hi all,
The essay writing is an opportunity for you to show your understanding and knowledge of issues discussed in CSCW literature. When reading your essays I will be looking for the following:
- Depth and quality of discussion/argument/ reflection
- Effective use of literature and/or empirical data i.e. quotations and empirical “evidence” are well contextualized within the discussion and effectively proves the point at hand
- Focus on topic, i.e. clear and logical presentation and organisation.
- Presentation “mechanics”, i.e. spelling, referencing etc
