Oblig #5 has been posted. Please note the short deadline.
The tutorial on the 2nd November 2010 is canceled.
Solutions to exercise set 7 are posted. Two problem in this set had their description changed a bit (problem 1 & 3). Problem set 6 also had a slight change in problem 7 due to my mistake.
Exercise set #6 was modified to address the issues regarding problem 7.
A bug was discovered in Vec.hpp file. This will not affect the grades of Oblig #2. Please download and use the new version (some of you already did this).
The tutorial grading system was updated with rules regarding retries and corrections.
Further changes to variable names in description of Oblig #2 - there were some leftover old variable names.
Minor changes were introduced to the description of Oblig #2 - the variable names in the description were made to match the ones in the template file.
Some of you reported problems with OpenGL on computers in Vilhelm Bjerknes hus and Nils Henrik Abels hus. Till they are resolved I suggest using computers at IFI Laveregrad Termstue (Room 1307) - OpenGL works there at the moment.
NEW TUTORIAL LOCATION:
The tutorials (including the one on 14th September 2010) will now be held in room C205 - Orakelrom in Vilhelm Bjerknes hus. The hours remain the same - Tuesdays 14:15-16:00
Final deadline for Oblig #1 is 14th September 2010, 23:59. All solutions sent before this time will be accepted.
Also please direct all the questions regarding obligatory problems directly to bartloms@ifi.uio.no
VIKTIG: dagens forelesning er i B91 i Abels hus (9. etg i mattebygget)
Some basic information about tutorials - the aim of tutorials is twofold:
1. To help you with the compulsory problems
2. To give you some hands-on experience on the concepts discussed in the lectures and prepare you for the exam
Ad. 1: I will try to make sure that compulsory problems are well understood by everyone and address all the problems that you encounter along the way - a part of every tutorial will be dedicated for this purpose.
Ad. 2: Each week, on the same day as the tutorial, new exercises will be posted on the course website (first ones are already there - check them out). On the same day I will discuss the new problems and possibly give some hints as how to solve them. I will present the solutions and post them on the course website a week later. Note that exercises are not compulsory.
