INF5260 – Development of mobile information systems and services

Course content

Mobility concepts. User, use and situation of use analysis. Analysis of information and communication needs. User interfaces and usability for mobile devices. Development of context services. Technologies for mobile services. Evaluation of mobile services.

Learning outcome

After completing the course, the students will be able to analyze, design, implement and evaluate mobile services. Furthermore, the objective is to understand the theoretical background and know about common techniques, methods and technologies for developing and analyzing mobile services.

Prerequisites

Formal prerequisite knowledge

No obligatory prerequisites beyond the minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway.

5 credits with INF-MOBI, 5 credits with INF5260 – Development of mobile information systems and services (discontinued).

Teaching

The course is project based, and the projects will have two deliverables.

Examination

Oral exam. Graded A-F.
