Oppgaver

There are two goals of learning:

- Practice in systemizing and presenting your mathematical knowledge.

- Practice in Tex.

ASSIGNMENT: Choose a theorem you find especially important and interesting.  Explain why, and give the mathematical background, proof, and applications of the theorem.  

The assignment should be written in LaTex, 11pt. and A4, and must contain references.  The assignment should be 2-3 pages long.

The students will present the assigments in class. I will announce who goes when. Presentations should last between 5 and 8 minutes. Please practice so you can stay within the time limit. You can choose any form for your presentation, blackboard, powerpoint etc.

Deadline: Thursday, February 27, 14:30.  The deadline for LAP students is one week earlier, same time.

The following projects will be presented this term. This list will increase for a couple of weeks.

If some students have their own ideas about a possible project, many professors would be willing to be an advisor for that, dependig on how far the topic is from their field of expertise. (Assuming the project is acceptable.)
